I have recently made this blog section on the website using Ghost as the platform. One of the reason is that the server currently doesn't really fully utilize the provided resource. Another reason is because I want my thoughts away from most social platforms - and since this can be nuked if I wanted to and I can pretty much remove logs (Google probably crawls this website, but I can turn SEO off if I wanted to). Also since how people who recruit you into jobs actually look at all your posts, I want to avoid them as much as I can and ideally, redirect them here.
(base) ubuntu@aikatsu:~$ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on udev 985M 0 985M 0% /dev tmpfs 200M 836K 199M 1% /run /dev/xvda1 59G 27G 33G 45% / **redacted**
As you can see here, the
root drive only consumes 45% of the total disk space. This doesn't even consider the fact that I do have few extra storage mounted for a different purpose.
And let's not even talk about CPU/Memory usage. Here's how much it's running with this site, as well as the Discord Bot which is pretty much a self-hosted NadekoBot instance with Music enabled, and my FYP project just to name a few things.
And now because I just noticed the uptime, I should really restart but then again, live patching is possible and I don't really feel a server restart is that much of a priority, especially seeing that this is just a hobby server and going completely overkill other than the reason to learn isn't really practical to say the least.
